Groups

The Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery run several groups across the year for everyone, such as families and friends of the nursery, as well as parents and families out in the local area.
If you are interested in any of these groups, please contact us ahead of time so we know you’re coming: that way we can make sure food and refreshments are available!

Superdads

Super Dads is a group where dads, grandads, uncles, male carers can come and play with their children.
Held at the Nursery on the first Saturday of every month from 9am – 12noon.
Everyone is welcome, not just nursery children and their families (children aged 0 – 14 years).

We provide refreshments – Tea / coffee, bacon / sausage butties and snacks.
There are lots of age appropriate activities and sometimes we go on outings. A donation towards the cost of refreshments.
Some of the places we have visited in the past include Portreath Beach, Tehidy Woods, Heartlands and Feadon Farm.

Baby Massage

Due to low numbers and lack of interest, no baby massage sessions have occurred recently. As a result, we have not organised any sessions to occur this year.
Please contact us if you are interested in this group, because Baby Massage may start up again!

Chatterbox

We have also started a parent’s network group called ‘Chatterbox’ held on Thursday afternoons – 1pm to 2:30pm term-time only. Chatterbox gives parents the chance to socialise, chat and likewise share parenting strategies with one another. Consequently, this group allows parents to develop a social network for themselves and also allows them to support one another as their children become older.

As of September 2019, Chatterbox is now held at the Busy Bees Library. For more info on what Busy Bees Library is, please follow the link: Busy Bees Library

Recycled Youth

There is a group for those over the age of 50 to come and meet people, do craft activities, play games and fund raise for local charities and have a laugh.
It is held on Thursday mornings from 9:30am to 12:00pm, and everyone is welcome.

As of September 2019, Recycled Youth is now held at the Busy Bees Library. For more info on what Busy Bees Library is, please follow the link: Busy Bees Library
